It's the exam season again...and chances are, there'd be a cooking-frenzy in the kitchen. Noticed this phenomena of the high correlation between culinary hyperactivity and exam frequency since Edinburgh. Hence after the Management Accounting trauma on the 28th, the madness began. First there was a Indian samosa and Chinese dumpling roll-out (literally - required = hands to roll + stuff + close + decorate with fork + fry = the whole works!), then a debate on the stuffing (vegetarian vs non-veggie), then the Vietnamese spring roll( again ; stuff + wrap + fry), then the dessert ( peach float yummy!), the spicy Thai Salad and a last-minute rice and vermicelli addition. The result was an awesome array of savoury delicacies of the East; Vietnam, India, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines withal ameliorating into each other (some of the dumpling and spring roll stuffing went into the samosas and vice versa). It was undoubtedly una fiesta rievocare....(Want the same to happen in your kitchen? Get bunch of MSPME students and give them an exam...on second thoughts, give them a million bucks...) And truly as Forrest sez.....

Circumlocuting Prolix
Ok, it has been some moments since I last inscribed anything substantial on my blog other than sporadically affixing junky websites and videos... Compassed my Management Accounting Examination today. I am still coming to terms with the fact that I am having exams and assignments... Expeditiously I need to join the MSPME 'Veteran's Club'!
Came into happenstance of my Umea, Sweden, course schedule. It is onerous to fathom how the ages ravine so precipitately - we are almost through with the term in Milan, Italy... and it seems that the tides of time are sweeping us by... Oh yesterdays! You malingers of reason!... I adore the warm weathers but it seems that I am ordained to possess it briefly. After having much operose due the recent labor, this weekend my cronies and I will traverse the quaint villages of Cinque Terre which is approximately 4 hours by train from Milan. Thus we shall procreate untrodden paths of amicability, fraternity and furthermore proliferate my already prodigious collection of photos.

Sei Nell'anima- Gianna Nannini -
For those lovers of great Italian music....thank you Antonio F!
Vado punto e a capo così
Spegnerò le luci e da qui
Sparirai
Pochi attimi
Oltre questa nebbia
Oltre il temporale
C’è una notte lunga e limpida,
Finirà
Ma è la tenerezza
Che ci fa paura
Sei nell’anima
E lì ti lascio per sempre
Sospeso
Immobile
Fermo immagine
Un segno che non passa mai
Vado punto e a capo vedrai
Quel che resta indietro
Non è tutto falso e inutile
Capirai
Lascio andare i giorni
Tra certezze e sbagli
E’ una strada stretta stretta
Fino a te
Quanta tenerezza
Non fa più paura
Sei nell’anima
E lì ti lascio per sempre
Sei in ogni parte di me
Ti sento scendere
Fra respiro e battito
Sei nell’anima
Sei nell’anima
In questo spazio indifeso
Inizia
Tutto con te
Non ci serve un perchè
Siamo carne e fiato

Mulling in Mulhouse
Spent the weekend in Mulhouse with Paul and Jacqueline. It was a very interesting time of self and people discovery.Discovered that I speak terrible French but I had a great time there thanks to my dear hosts. The people are really friendly and neighbourly like the ones you see on TV . Nevertheless it was a time away in a time away and time passed fairly quickly and before I knew it the 3 days were up.
Arrived in Milan 3 hours late....Several French, Swiss, Italian and Syrians pushed the Eurolines bus because it ran out of battery and the diagnosis was done by a Hongkee passenger who was a bus engineer.Talk about bizzarro.

Back to Grind....
"Quantifying quality is driving project management crazy!"
"Fed up fed up! - trabajando, ke terror!"
"Enjoying chilled sangria" (???)
We are a pretty fun bunch...considering some of our eccentricities (like assignment extensions and the occasional sleeping in class) . I guess we were lucky to have lived together on campus in Edinburgh. This bonded us somewhat which provided the support network for a bunch of foreigners living in a foreign land. There's also the lack of local interaction - which looking at the way the course was designed is somewhat a drawback but no one's complaining.
And so here we are again, deja-vu.....invasion of the assignments, exams and last minute working. Dai dai dai.....buh

Un Senso Di Tei
A un passo dal possibile
Just a pace from what's possible
A un passo da te
Just a pace from you
Paura di decidere
Fear to decide
Paura di me
Fear of myself
Di tutto quello che non so
Of everything I don't know
Di tutto quello che non ho
Of everything I don't have
Eppure sentire
Nevertheless, feeling
Nei fiori tra l'asfalto
In the flowers over the pave
Nei cieli di cobalto
In those cobalt blue skies
C'è...There's...
Eppure sentire
Nevertheless, feeling
Nei sogni in fondo a un pianto
In those dreams at the end of a cry
Nei giorni di silenzio
In those days of silence
C'è... un senso di te
There's... a sense of you
C'è un senso di te
There's a sense of you
Un senso di te
A sense of you
C'è un senso di te...
There's a sense of you...

Okey, sedang bosan sekarang....dah membersihkan apartment, melompat-lompat di Sportsmanclub gym, membeli barang kat Lidl, membaca 2 buku (Satanic Verses, White Fang), menonton 2 movie (In the name of the rose, Run Lola Run)....

Dublin!
Went to Dublin with Amy and her friend KC last week.
I've always been curious about the Irish and now I've the chance to satisfy that curiousity. Do they really drink as much as they say they do? Do they speak with the brogue? Will I turn green?
Dublin was a real surprise - unlike what I expected. It's a mix of the old and the new - The night life is livelier than Edinburgh's with friendlier approachable people. KC mostly led the excursion with his tastebuds as the main navigator. We had indian food at 1am in the morning (arrived there at 1pm), kebab for lunch, irish coffee, bailey's coffee, irish stew and lots of Guiness!
Ireland's sons and daughters are big - Oscar Wilde, U2, George Bernard Shaw, Yeats, Frank McCourt, The Corrs , etc...they were all from Dublin.
The Guiness Factory and Trinity College are the best attractions. I'm addicted to Guiness now - Isaac and Vanessa think I've gone alcoholic.
And so to answer my questions; yes, the Irish drink as much as they say they do - our taxi driver from the airport has the brogue, everyone else was understandable and I turned green with all the guiness in me.
Long live the paddy's!
